A few days ago I was tagged by Absolutely True
and challenged to “Show My Desktop”. Makes a refreshing change from some of the question and answer type tag games, so I figured I’d share what my laptop desktop looks like. Before I created the screenshots, I took the opportunity to tidy things up a bit and delete a few shortcuts and old files – a task that was long overdue to be honest!
I use a freeware application to display random desktop wallpaper, so for this tag I chose 4 of my favorites. Here they are:
click an image for an enlarged view
- Wallpaper #1 – Photo of a beach in Grand Cayman where my wife and I vacationed in 2003. So relaxing….
- Wallpaper #2 – The swim start at Ironman USA in July 2004. I still can’t believe I was able to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles
- Wallpaper #3 – Cropped photo of The London Eye taken on my recent trip to the UK (Summer 2007)
- Wallpaper #4 – Wonderful photo of a rowing boat at sunset on a Norwegian fjord, courtesy of talented photographer Thomas Laupstad
Oh, I almost forgot. I need to tag a few other people too. Let me see………..
1. Thomas of http://blog.thomaslaupstad.com
2. Chris of BlogsRecord.com
3. Corey of See Corey Run
4. Claire of A little piece of me
Please post pictures of your desktop on a blog or web site and link back to this post if you don’t mind.
By the way, add your blog to the BlogsRecord blog directory

Those are awesome wallpaper pictures that you use! And what a tidy desktop!

Hi Steve,
Since you mentioned your wife, I was curious to know if she runs, or runs with you.
My fiancé runs as well, sometimes with me & sometimes not. Actually, I got him into running. (Although he plays/played all sorts of sports – basketball, football, etc., he’d never really run seriously before he met me.) In fact, we ran a lot together when we first dated, & we’re still running to this day.
Grand Cayman is a lovely place to visit. Sounds like you had a great trip!

Nice desktop you’ve got! Mine is just plain blue and boring. I love that picture of the boat and the sunset. It is so peaceful. I can just imagine myself laying in that boat and relaxing…

Nice wallpapers. I like the London Eye one. I fly over to London just about every year. The first time I went onto the Eye I loved it.
