Spotplex: do I need another blog ranking tool?

Filed under: Blogging — Steve Speirs @ 5:42 pm

SpotplexYeah, I know, another online blog ranking tool. Do you need it? Probably – it could just be the next great blogging tool to be released. According to TechCrunch.com nightmare man movie , Spotplex “arguably sorts news in a better way than Digg does.” Now that’s quite a statement to make isn’t it? Make sure you read Michael Arrington’s article shortbus divx online for his great take on Spotplex.

What is Spotplex? Spotplex provides internet users with real-time ranking of blog articles based on actual impression count. Bloggers can track and analyze their blog traffic with a simple Spotplex widget. and not just how many people visit the blog, but also which articles people read most and how many people read them.

What next?

  • Head on over to Spotplex.com
  • Complete the simple sign up form
  • Insert the Spotplex code onto your blog
  • Whenever an article in your blog is read, the code lets the Spotplex server know the article has been read
  • The article shows up on Spotplex and the view counter reflects the change

How can I check my stats?

Quite easy really. Every blog has its own page at Spotplex.

  • You can go to the page by entering: http://www.spotplex.com/code/(your code number)
  • You can enter your code number in the search box on the Spotplex home page
  • You can click on the Spotplex code/widget on your blog

Thanks to Tara at the Graphic Design Blog

for first alerting me to Spotplex. Let’s hope it’s another winner!
