I must be honest and say I’m a bit obsessed with Volkswagen Buses at the moment. Luckily it’s a healthy obsession, but I’ve been racking my brains trying to come up with a way to get hold of a T1 Volkswagen Bus from the mid 60’s.
Maybe the current Teenage Cancer Trust competition download cradle 2 the grave online download dog s breakfast a movie is the answer? Up for grabs is The Who’s Magic Bus; a Volkswagen T1 Panel Van, which has been signed by the surviving members of the legendary rock band!
From the competition web site:
This iconic VW van from 1965 – provided by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles – has been signed by The Who’s Roger Daltrey CBE, Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust, and Pete Townshend.
It costs just £5 to enter the competition, with a minimum of £4.25 from each entry being donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The competition ends on July 8th and the winner will be announced on the 10th. So, until I can come up with a great money-making venture, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the Magic Bus
!

Nostalgic indeed! The competition is an awesome one, with the money going to a good cause, pity the bus can’t be mine! Do you have a rolling chassis to begin restoration yet, or are you looking for one? Or would you rather prefer to get something which is basically complete?

I agree – great cause!
I would much prefer something which is basically complete. Maybe if my skills were a bit better and I had more time on my hands I could take on more of a restoration project, but for now something that’s drivable would be ideal.
I’ll keep saving the pennies…

Long time no comment
Yeah, they stopped making these years ago (although apparently a more modern version are still being manufactured in Brazil)
I’d love to own one from the 60’s or 70’s. I’m not a Who fan either, but I’ll take the bus any day! Fingers crossed eh?
