Millenium Stadium Mosaic - [Put Yourself In The Picture]

This is one of those really good ideas that pop up on the internet every now and then. Photographer Steve Pope is planning to create a billboard made up of 30,000 photos which, when complete, will go on permanent display at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff. In the process, the worlds biggest online mosaic will also be created.

Just £2.00 (payable through PayPal or via personal cheque) will allow you to upload a photograph for display on the billboard and also online. £1.00 of this will be donated to Ty Hafan Childrens Hospice with the hope of raising a grand total of £30,000 for the children’s charity. Steve says the photograph will appear online within 24 hours of payment being received.

I submitted a family photo earlier today and am keen to watch the mosaic grow. I’m also interested to see where in the stadium it will be located. I wonder how long it will take to “fill” the stadium and then print the billboard?

You can submit your photograph here and check the mosaic’s progress here.

Good luck to Steve and The Ty Hafan Childrens Hospice!
