“Neil Jenkins! Go kick a ball!”
Word has it that the world record points holder in Rugby Union, Neil Jenkins, was once told “If you want to kick anything, go kick a ball!” His headmistress was so frustrated with telling Neil off for fighting in the playground, that the words just blurted out. I guess the rest is history!

In all internationals, Welshman Neil Jenkins scored 1,052 points in 86 matches for Wales (1,011 points in 83 matches) and British Lions (41 points in 3 matches) between 1991–March 2001.
Affectionately labelled GM (for Ginger Monster, Maestro or Magician), “Jenks” made 237 appearances for Pontypridd between 1990-2003 in his position of Outside Half.
