Wales Beat Luxembourg In Scrappy Friendly

wales_ball.jpgIt doesn’t sound like it was the most enjoyable international friendly you’ll ever watch, but Wales came through in the end with a comfortable 2-0 victory against a hard-working, but uninspired Luxembourg team.

After the game, Wales boss, John Toshack said:

It wasn’t the best game I’ve seen I must admit and we certainly had a few players who were short of fitness.

But at the end of the day, we’ve got a win. It keeps a bit of momentum going and we’ve seen a couple of new faces.

Next up is an away match in Iceland at the end of May, followed by a trip to Holland on June 1st.

Maybe the Luxembourg just need more practice to match the capability of Wales.
