Wales Beat Scotland To Keep Triple Crown Hopes Alive
Wales maintained their 100% start to the Six Nations with an emphatic win over Scotland at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. Shane Williams scored a couple of spectacular tries to help see off the visitors.
“The home side dominated possession and territory and their flair saw first half tries for Williams and James Hook.
But dogged Scotland held on through the boot of Chris Paterson, the wing landing all five of his goal kicks.
Leading just 17-15 on 60 minutes, Wales changed their half-backs and regathered before Williams split the defence and squeezed in for a controversial score.”
New Wales coach Warren Gatland said he was very pleased at the end of a “nerve-wracking” game, his first in charge in Cardiff, but admitted his team still needed a lot of improvement.
“There was only one team that deserved to win and that was the team in red that played all the rugby,” the New Zealander said.
Gatland will try to keep Welsh expectations in check, but with a home game against Italy in two weeks and a Triple Crown game in Dublin on 8 March, that seems unlikely!

Yes, Wales are doing really well this year. A repeat of the 2005 Grandslam is a possibility.
You’re the first Welsh blogger I’ve found by the way.
