Wales lead the way with Wi-Fi
Wales has more Wi-Fi hotspots per million people (193), than in any other UK region.
Actually that figure is higher than the USA, Germany and Japan according to the recent Communications Market Report for the Nations and Regions of the UK published by Ofcom.
It’s no real surprise, however. As far back as 2004, Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, led the way in becoming the first city in the UK to offer W-Fi internet coverage in central areas of the city.
Not bad for a country 33 times smaller than Texas….
