Garmin Forerunner 305 Updates & Downloads
Spent some time last night updating various software versions for my Garmin Forerunner 305.
According to the Garmin Support pages I’d missed several key updates in early November - must have been too busy with my marathon training to notice!
Here’s a breakdown of what was available:
- Forerunner 305 Unit Software Version 2.80 (Nov 12th, 2007)
- Forerunner 205/305 GPS Chipset Version 3.00 (Nov 12th, 2007)
- Training Center For Windows Version 3.3.2 (Nov 7th, 2007)
I also checked the version of my MotionBased Agent software and was relieved to find I was still current with Version 2.3.0.1
On a side note, I was amazed to see the price of the 305 is just $199.99 on Amazon.com at the moment. Prices just keep on falling, which could indicate the release of an all-new Forerunner by Garmin sometime early next year. I wonder how many people will receive the 305 as a Christmas gift only to find it’s been replaced by a newer model a couple of weeks/months later?

I’m so glad I stopped by was going to get the 305, I’ll give it a couple of months and see if a new model does come out
