New MotionBased Upload Process

In an effort to improve efficiency of the MotionBased web site, the upload process for activities has been revised and performance should now be greatly improved.

Upload Processing

Once MotionBased receives the data (via MotionBased Agent or manual upload) it processes the uploads asynchronously. This means that your upload is received and added to a queue for processing. In general this helps system performance, prioritizes processing, and provides upload feedback. Since uploads are queued for processing, the upload process takes longer during busy times and faster during slow times.

Note: Higher priority uploads are processed first.

How do I know what priority my activity takes?

1. Paying Customers uploads are processed before non-paying customers. Subscribe today!
2. Uploads sent from the MotionBased Agent receive priority over file uploads via internet browser
3. Smaller files receive higher priority over large files.
4. We currently reject uploads with more than 5,000 trackpoints and files greater than 1 meg. Make sure your device is set to Smart Resolution. Don’t use the 1 second resolution!
