CSS iPod Guide

How do I get the guide?
Download the CSS Guide (in zipped format) and then follow the instructions below to install it. As long as your iPod supports “notes”, you’re good to go. I believe any 3rd Generation iPod or newer (including the mini and nano) will be suitable.
To install:
- Mount your iPod as an external drive via FireWire or USB, just as you would to work with iTunes
- Open the Notes folder on your iPod on your PC or Mac - on Windows it will show up in My Computer, on the Mac in the finder sidebar, or in the Computer (use the Finder’s Go Menu to open your “Computer” window)
- Drag the unzipped folder into the Notes folder of your iPod
- Unmount your iPod and you’re done
To read:
- From the main menu of your iPod choose Extras
- From the Extras menu choose Notes
- Choose the entry Style Master CSS Guide
- To read any section just scroll to it using the scroll wheel and click to open it
Use the scroll wheel to scroll up and down the text. The iPod even supports simple linking, which we’ve taken advantage of in the podGuide. At the top of each section you’ll find links to its subsections. Links are shown as a subtle underline. The current link has a solid underline. To select the current link just click the select button, in the center of the click wheel. As you scroll through the text, the iPod automatically jumps to the next link, and it becomes the current link.
The menu button takes you up to the next level. So the quickest way to go back to the top of a note is probably to click the menu button, then the select button.
