Gold iPod Presented To David Beckham To Celebrate 100th England Cap
Can’t be bad. Word on the street is that David Beckham has been presented with a gold 32GB iPod Touch by his English teammates after participating in his 100th appearance for the national team.
The cost? A very “affordable” $1,188, which isn’t too bad considering the current $499 US price tag on the regular version.
The extra $689 must have been for the custom engraving!
At least it’s not encrusted with diamonds, gold and platinum like this $20,000 monstrosity….

They had a item about gold plating your stuff on a UK show last Monday, apparently to pay someone to gold plate your mobile costs around £99.

Was that the gadget show? some of those blingy gadgets were just horrid. Gold plated ipod, not my thing at all.

Not my thing either to be honest. Think the only upgrade I would make is to have a Welsh dragon engraved on the back…
Thanks for the comments,

It’s not my thing either. I do not like the style with an ipod. If it was a business card box, or cigarette box, I will feel it worth. But the price is expensive for me.

Love the ipod just not fussed over a gold one, lol.

You know I shouldn’t like this - I don’t normally like BLING! But I can’t help thinking I wouldn’t mind one!
Maybe you should start a new Blogging award Steve with a cymru66 engraved i-pod as the badge. I’d want one on my blog!

Mike, I agree, bling is not my style either. But the gold looks cool. Does Ipod come in gold and if it does not it is actually quite a nice colour to introduce. Especially with the Beckham hype.

This shows the influence and status that David has in England.. though he is not to the same expectation on the pitch as he used to be..
