Alternative MINI Driving Lamps

130mm Chrome Spotlights from www.classic-car-accessories.co.uk

Not wanting to pay $799 to have a pair of MINI Driving Lamps fitted at the dealership, I did some searching on the internet and came up with the following:

I took the plunge and ordered 2 pairs of 130mm driving lamps from Classic Car Accessories in the UK. They are *only* £35.00 a pair [approx $65.00], and look almost identical to the OEM lamps. To mount them I’m going to use the MINI brackets from New Mini Stuff which are £21.28 a pair [approx $39.00]. Eric at Classic Car Accessories has been most helpful answering questions via email, and so far I’ve been very impressed with their level of customer service. Seem like a great company and they have a tremendous range of classic car products.

For me, this is a much cheaper alternative to the “real thing” and I’m sure I’ll hardly know the difference when they’re mounted. I’ll post pictures when I’ve installed them….

Anyone else have any other alternatives to the dealer installed lamps?

I just love a cool classic car like a convertible Cutlass. I see them all the time in movies and TV now.
