Unique Way To “Get Me A MINI”
MINIs are one of the most sought after cars on the market - they’re fun, stylish, modern, reliable, good looking, fast…..shall I go on? Some people will do anything to own one as Samo Kralj has proved by coming up with a great idea to raise enough cash to buy a MINI Cooper all for himself.
If you’re wondering how someone can possibly raise enough money to buy a car, Samo plans on selling the surface area of his MINI to interested advertisers! His Get Me A MINI web site spells out the 4-step procedure to buy yourself one of the most unique pieces of advertising available.
Step 1: Select which side of the MINI you’d like to advertise on. Adverts can be purchased in 400px x 400px blocks (roughly 10cm x 10cm) with prices ranging from $100 to $220. You can choose from either the left or right side, front, back or roof.
Step 2: Select a block, or area of blocks, enter the spot number and check it’s availability by clicking on the button. If the spot is available, the price will be displayed. You can either search again or proceed to Step3.
Step 3: Enter your name and email address and click “Submit”. The block(s) you selected will be reserved for you and payment instructions will be displayed (Step 4).
Not only will Samo’s MINI display your advert for the next 5 years, he’s also offering the chance to put your link and a 50px x 50px graphic on www.getmeamini.com, where he’s hoping it will be viewed by millions of people in the next five years! Quite an ambitious statement, but anything can happen with a venture like this.
Oh yes, there’s also a small contest running where you can win $200 worth of advertising blocks on the MINI. Well worth checking out and trust me, it’s very easy to enter.
The “Get Me A MINI” project reminds me of the Million Dollar Home Page idea from 2006 that netted Alex Tew from England a cool million. Good luck to Samo and if you’re looking for a unique place to advertise your business, your blog, your whatever….you could do a lot worse than this cool idea.

Well, the idea is pretty cool and I hope he’s successful, but personally I would not would not want to drive a MINI that’s full with advertising. One advertiser I could (maybe) handle, but not when it’s all plastered over the car. I would almost say it’s a waste of a beautiful car…
