Welsh Dragon MINI Grille Badge
Today, I finally found time to fit the official MINI Grille Badge Holder to my new MINI. It’s been one of those projects I’ve been meaning to do for some time, but something has always cropped up causing me to postpone the attempt.
The main problem has been that the badge holder was designed for the previous model MINI, not the 2007 model which I have. Not wishing to bore you, but the grille design is different and access to the rear of the grille is very limited.
Long story short, I had to modify the bracket and purchase new wing nuts and washers before I could perform the install. Luckily my hands are fairly small and I was able to reach behind the grille to tighten the nuts. The end result is shown above left, complete with magnetic Welsh Dragon Grille Badge, purchased from ToddsMods and designed by my good self. I’ll post pictures of the other badges in my collection as and when I swap them over (one of the benefits of the badges being magnetic!)
For now I’ll just enjoy the good old Welsh Dragon/CYMRU decal and await the standard question: “What does CYMRU mean?”

Oh my! I have no idea what this means, but I bet my hubbie does! We are just now setting up his blog and I’m teaching him how to comment and read other blogs too, so I’ll send him here when we have tiime.
