Welsh Dragon Whalen Shifter for my MINI
After first reading over a year ago about Doug Whalen’s custom MINI Cooper shifters, I’ve been deliberating whether or not to purchase one. Doug custom engraves the gear shift knobs and will replicate any design you like - my shifter of choice would feature a Welsh Dragon.
Well after a recent selling spree on eBay, I now have enough spare cash in my PayPal account to buy one without feeling guilty….(click thumbnail for larger image)
So, without further ado, I contacted Doug who located the artwork from a former client in 2005. He was able to engrave it the same day and apparently it’s already on it’s way to Virginia Beach via USPS Priority Mail. Can’t wait to receive it and see what everyone else has been raving about.
UPDATE: Knob arrived in the mail on Monday evening - fantastic turnaround. Hopefully I’ll find a spare 15 minutes to install it over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I’ll post photos and a quick install guide when I’m done. (By the way, it looks even better in real life than it does online…..)
