One of these days I’ll get around to posting my personal guide to pulling the perfect espresso shot. I’ve had a FrancisFrancis! X5 Espresso Machine for some time now, but have only recently started to get consistent results. Pulling shots sounds easy, but there are several variables you have to get just right:

  • Coffee amount (14g per double shot)
  • Coffee grind
  • Water temperature
  • Water pressure
  • Coffee tamp

This list isn’t exhaustive, and I promise you I’m no expert, but I will pass on what works for me……soon. Watch this space ok?
