Anthem Blue Goo - the race 2 slime cancer
Coming up on June 11th at Richmond Raceway Complex is the Anthem Blue Goo “race 2 slime cancer”. This fun, one mile, all-terrain obstacle course covers grass, pavement and dirt and has been designed by professionals to be fun but safe. The best part about the race is that you’ll be helping kids with cancer by raising as much money as you can for research at VCU Massey Cancer Center! (Note: this is a kids only race - you have to be between 6 and 14 years of age to participate).
Full details are available on the event web site, but you’ll need to hurry if you want to sign up your child. The race is limited to the first 2000 kids and judging by the number of hits it’s receiving at the moment (nearly 1500 yesterday alone), it’s sure to fill up fast.
The web site is one of several I’ve created for the local race timing and management company KaleRunning and was a pleasure to build. It’s great that it’s getting the exposure it deserves and nice to know that cancer research will benefit from the event.
