FIRST Marathon Training Program: Week 8
Week 8 - August 27th, 2007
Looks like I have another tough week ahead of me, culminating with the Rock’n'Roll Half Marathon on Sunday:
Key Run Workout #1:
10-20 minute warm up
2 x (6 x 400m) (1:30 RI) (2:30 between sets)
10 minute cool down
Key Run Workout #2:
6 mile run:
2 miles easy
3 miles @ ST pace (Short Tempo)
1 mile easy
Key Run Workout #3:
Distance: 18 miles
Pace: PMP + (30 sec/mile)
The only thing I’ll be changing is the Sunday long run, as I’ll be racing my 6th Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon instead. Last year my time was 1:21:26 where I finished 6th in the 40-44 division, was the 65th male to finish and 80th overall out of 16,170 finishers. I wonder what I’ll be able to run this year?
