ITBS - back to square one

My optimism is waning. As much as I enjoyed the Race For The Cure 5k, with a rare chance to run with my wife (who ran really well today I might add!), I have to say my chances of lining up for the marathon next weekend are very, very slim.

The now familiar 2 miles into the ‘race’ and the scraping pain came from nowhere. Luckily there were only 1.1 miles to the finish, where I could apply ice and stretch the band, although I don’t seem to be getting much payback for all the treatment at the moment. Still, I’ll persevere, ‘keep taking the tablets’ and see what the week ahead brings. Miracles can happen, right?
