ITBS - the pain continues

With 5 days of rest, no running and twice daily stretching/icing behind me, I was keen to hit the trails again. With cross country daughter Shannon for company, we set off from Final Kick and all felt fine. 3 miles in however, and the knife-scrape comes back. We’ve already committed to the Osmanthus Trail and the only way back is to loop the trail and head back to the car. Shannon isn’t feeling great either, but all I want to do is hobble on and finish the run.
Back at the car I stretch and ice and wonder what it’s going to take for this nagging injury to clear up for good…..
Another wasted training week and Marine Corps is only 2 weeks away. Frustrating isn’t the word.
