Mud in Your Eye XC Series
Last year’s Mud in Your Eye Cross Country Series was so much fun I’ve decided to sign up and run it again. It will help keep me motivated this winter I’m sure. For anyone who doesn’t live in the Hampton Roads, VA area, this is a ChampionChip timed three race cross country series held at three classic cross country venues in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Norfolk. The series culminates in a festive post race party where participants completing all events will receive an embroidered windstopper pull over. Unique awards are given to top overall and age group participants who complete all three events. Middle of the pack, back of the pack and oldest and youngest participants to complete the series will also be recognized. For 2006 there’s also a team competition where the top overall male, female and co-ed teams completing the series will be awarded. You get all of this for a low series entry fee of $40.
