  • Monday: 4 miles, easy.
  • Tuesday: Runervals 10k Strength Builder (BP 5.0mph, 10k pace 7.5mph) Max HR topped out at 170 (courtesy of the Garmin Forerunner 305).
  • Wednesday: Easy 3 miles.
  • Thursday: Steady 4.1 miles.
  • Friday: Just an easy 2.5 miles.
  • Saturday: Easy 2 mile warm up.
    Pioneer Pride 5k - 17:53 (5:45 pace).
  • Sunday: 2 mile warm up
6×800m (400m jog recovery) at Landstown High School Track
    1.75 mile cool down
  • 34 miles for the week

Summary: A nice taper week getting ready for the Frederick Marathon. One quality treadmill workout on Tuesday, mainly easy running the rest of the week and a confidence boosting 5k on Saturday (fastest 5k since July 05 I believe). Rounded the week off with 6×800m on the local track (2:50 2:50 2:52 2:50 2:51 2:51) - not quite a full “Yasso” workout, but faster and more consistent than I’d hoped for.
Another easy week ahead - plenty of rest, no hard running and hope everything comes together on the day.
