Running Review: January 30th-Februray 5th
- Monday: Easy 7 miles on the treadmill.
- Tuesday: “Cheetah Fast” treadmill workout (~7 miles/various pace), plus extended warmup.
- Wednesday: Pyramid 3 miles on the treadmill.
- Thursday: Easy 2 miles on the treadmill (sore shins).
- Friday: Steady 4 miles outside (with several striders thrown in).
- Saturday: 1.5 mile warmup
Norfolk Half Marathon (1:24:20 2nd fastest HM!) - Sunday: Steady 5 miles on treadmill
- 42.6 miles for the week
Summary: Very happy with Half Marathon time. On pace for a PR until mile 11, then drifted away slightly. Still averaged 6:26 pace though. The rest of the week felt quite sluggish, shins bothered me which always happens when I increase my weekly mileage. Will take next week fairly easy as well with the aim of ramping up the miles again after race #2 in the Mud In Your Eye Series. Hope to beat last years time of 22:57 (6:09 pace)…
