Running Review: March 27th - April 2nd
- Monday: 5.78 miles - moderate training run. Legs feeling heavy
- Tuesday: Runervals 10k Strength Builder (6.5 miles - 4.5mph BP, 6.5mph “10k speed”). Lower speed than usual, still feeling sluggish.
- Wednesday: Just 2 miles to keep the “streak” going
- Thursday: 2.5 miles - left knee a bit sore. cut the workout short. Not feeling it this week…
- Friday: Easy 3 miles - knee still stiff.
- Saturday: Easy 2 mile warm up
Fort Eustis 10k - 37:40 (6:03 pace)
1 mile cool down. - Sunday: Steady 10 miles
- 38.6 miles for the week
Summary: not feeling great this week, probably the post-marathon blahs. Surprised with my 10k performance on Saturday though. Mile splits pretty even and all around the 6:00 minute mark (apart from mile 4 which was probably long) - 6:00 5:55 5:54 6:27 (long) 6:01 7:21 (1.2)
10th place at the mile. Worked my way into the race over the next couple of miles, and finished second overall to Tom Purcell who finished a good distance ahead of me.
