The Diet Detective’s Count Down: Say No to the French Fries

Well, maybe you don’t have to say No to the French Fries, but this book will show you what you need to do to burn off the equivalent number of calories using six forms of activity - walking biking, running, yoga, dancing and swimming. It’s actually quite an eye-opener!
Consider this:
- Is it easier to turn down a medium portion of Burger King French Fries or go for a 93 minute walk?
- Would you rather refuse a Denny’s Heartland Scramble (whatever that is!) or ride a bike for 172 minutes?
- Say “No” to an Arby’s Sausage Gravy Biscuit or do yoga for 327 minutes?
Get the idea?
This book is not your typical diet or calorie book. It’s a food fact bible giving readers eye-opening chunks of information that make them think before they eat. Translating calorie counts into exercise minutes is a novel but obvious way to think of foods in terms of activity.
Use the caloric needs calculator to determine how many calories you need to maintain your current weight. If your goal is to lose 1 pound per week, you’ll need to reduce your daily calorie intake by 500 calories. The Diet Detective’s Count Down can help you achieve this.
Much of life is about choices. There’s nothing wrong with eating the foods you love, but hopefully this book will put things into perspective and help you make smarter decisions.

I agree, most of the time it’s a simple decision:
Eat that extra bagel or run an extra 4 miles tonight?
6 pack of Corona or run 9 miles?
