Ironman Training Plan - Day #1

7:00am on Sunday July 25th seems so far away at the moment, but today’s the day I have to start training for Ironman USA, Lake Placid. The first couple of weeks training will just get me ready for January 26th when Gale Bernhardt’s 26 Week Ironman Plan officially starts. The first 4 weeks of her plan seem very manageable and I’m not expecting any major difficulties. Actually the hardest part will be trying to juggle the multiple swim, bike, run and strength workouts around my already busy schedule. Time will tell, but I’m determined to commit 100% to the 26 week training plan which should put me in the best shape of my life.
