Can’t Print From Microsoft Outlook

For months and months I haven’t been able to print from Microsoft Outlook; most annoying. Every time I clicked the print icon I’d get an annoying script error just like the one on the left (click for enlarged view).

Yesterday, after much searching on the Microsoft web site, I finally found a solution. I’m posting what I found just in case it helps anyone else with a similar problem:

1. Go to Start | Run, type regsvr32 ole32.dll and click OK.
2. Open an email in Outlook. Click Print and the annoying script error should have magically disappeared.

Easy when you know how, eh?

Rather switch to Thunderbird and put issues with Microsoft’s offering to bed in this manner.

I agree, Thunderbird is great; I do use it for several email accounts. However, I still have one older account I still use Outlook for…

I’ve just had to have my PC reformatted due to errors with Vista. Bring Linux into schools so kids can learn how to use a real OS.

Glad you got your problem solved Steve.

      Hey Phil,

I bought a SitePoint book on Linux a long time ago with every intention of checking it out and seeing what all the hype was about. Needless to say, it’s collection dust on my bookcase…

Maybe if I took a few days off from blogging I’d get through the book? Would probably be more beneficial huh?
