Adding New Zones
Ever wanted to add a new zone to a Web Part Page? Well, it’s not as difficult as it first seems. Each zone is just a cell in a table. Therefore, before adding a new zone Frontpage 2003, you should have an empty cell available. I’m going to assume you’re using Frontpage 2003 as the editor.
Click in the cell where you want the zone to appear. In the Task Pane (Ctrl+F1 if it’s not visible), select Web Parts and click on New Web Part Zone (the button at the bottom of the pane). This will create a new zone in the cell named Zone 1 by default.
Right click anywhere in the zone, choose Web Part Zone Properties and change Zone 1 to something more appropriate , Middle Zone for example.
The new zone is now able to accept Web Parts. Select one from the list in the Task Pane and click on the Insert Selected Web Part button. This will fetch the Web Part from the server and insert it into the selected zone. Save the file and preview in a browser to see how the new zone looks.
