Just took the plunge and upgraded to the latest version of WordPress download another gay sequel gays gone wild online
. Version 2.1.3 is the latest stable release and was made available for download on April 3rd, to include fixes for several publicly known minor XSS issues, one major XML-RPC issue, and a proactive full sweep of the WordPress codebase to protect against future problems.
The upgrade was fairly painless and judging by how the site is looking, seems to have gone smoothly. I do have a couple of plugins that aren’t working, but it’s nothing that needs fixing any time soon. One day soon I’ll get around to updating the header graphic and maybe some of the navigation/site structure, but for now I’m going to try and concentrate on making more regular posts. It’s been a slack couple of months.
Detailed instructions on how to “upgrade in five easy steps” can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress, but in simple terms all you have to do is follow Steps 1 to 5 below:
Step 1: Backup Database Tables and Files including .htaccess
Step 2: Deactivate Plugins
Step 3: Overwrite Files
Step 4: Run the upgrade script
Step 5: Reactivate Plugins one by one
Good luck and Happy WordPressing!
