Just installed a WordPress Plugin that should hopefully allow visitors to edit post comments and/or name and web site.
From the Reader Appreciation Project: “WP Ajax Edit Comments (for WP 2.1+) allows users and admins alike to edit comments on a post. Users can edit their own comments for a period specified by the admin, and admins can edit all post comments. What better way to show reader appreciation than letting the readers edit their own typos?”
Installation was easy
, then unzip the “wp-ajax-edit-comments” folder into your Wordpress plugins folder. Navigate to your WordPress Admin panel and activate the plugin. That’s it! From now on, you and your users should be able to edit comments.
This plugin has been tested successfully on Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Opera 9, and Safari & Firefox for Mac. There’s even an option that allows you to set the comment time – 30 minutes is the default. I changed mine to 5.
To use, simply hover over a comment in a post and click. The comment will load, and from there you can edit the comment. If you click “Save” without editing, an error will result. This is normal. Simply click “Cancel” to back out of the error.
A couple of quick tests and everything seems to work fine. Please let me know if you encounter any problems, but for now Happy Commenting and Happy Editing!

Testing on a mac in Safari, Firefox and Opera, and works fine!
I’ve yet to install this plugin, but seems like a good way to help communication, might install it eventually

Hi,
Could you give me some guidance with this marvellous plugin?
I downloaded wp-ajax-edit-comment ver2.O.1.O.
It only works when I login as admin at my blog.
It does display the icons whenever I access my blog without logging in.
Am I to take it that this also would be the same for blog visitors?
My blog is non registration enabled.
thank you,
